Welcome to the Northern Gateway Alliance, a coalition of community leaders supporting the regulatory review of the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipelines project. We believe the benefits and opportunities associated with the project should be given serious consideration through the regulatory review process.
If approved, Northern Gateway can become a catalyst for economic growth across both northern BC and northern Alberta. The project would deliver billions of dollars in new capital investment, thousands of jobs during construction and new skills and training opportunities for young people. The project would also provide long lasting benefits for First Nations and communities along the pipeline corridor.
Northern Gateway is the most ambitious pipeline proposal in North America and Alliance members believe it should be fully reviewed by the National Energy Board and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency. Alliance members support the regulatory review of this project and will work to ensure people in their communities understand the project, the review process and how people can participate in the process. The Alliance believes that all voices should be heard through the regulatory review process.
